Yin Yoga Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga as exercise, incorporating principles of traditional Chinese medicine, with asanas that are held for longer periods of time than in other styles. In our Yin Yoga workshop, you will learn the theory and practice of Yin Yoga while gaining a basic understanding of the Chinese meridian system and its relationship to the practice. Learn the many benefits of Yin including improved range of motion, flexibility, increased mobility of the joints, and stress relief you will find Yin yoga is beneficial to all levels and body types. Workshop hours can be used towards CEU for yoga alliance.

Yoga in your Hands; Malas, Mudras and Mantras Join us for this 2-hour meditation workshop exploring how to use malas, mantras, and mudras in the meditation practice. We will explore the history and usage of the mudras (spiritual hand gestures), the meanings of the mantra’s (sacred u%erances) and the technique of how to use malas (prayer beads). These simple and beautiful practices can help give us some of the spiritual grounding needed to navigate our busy minds and complicated lives. Beginners welcome. If you own a mala please feel free to bring it along, we will have some you can borrow/purchase if you do not have one. .

Yoga for Runners: Open to runners and yoga practitioners of all levels, this workshop will show you how yoga can be incorporated into your training to improve performance and reduce injury. The workshop will include a vinyasa-style practice that aids in strength building and stretching for muscle groups specific to running. We will also learn how to improve the breath through diaphragmatic breathing as well as meditation techniques to focus and calm the mind to help you find peak performance. .

saturday, July 24 - 1:30-3:30PM

Yoga for Pregnancy: This course is intended to teach Yoga instructors to safely guide their pregnant students through all three trimesters of a healthy and active yoga class, as well as address the needs of the prenatal student. Teachers will gain a comprehensive understanding of the unique needs of their pregnant yoga students. We will explore techniques to engage in safe yoga practice, prepare women’s bodies for childbirth, learn simple breathing and relaxation practices to support the pregnancy. Kim is an experienced 500-hour RYT yoga teacher who has multiple certifications in Prenatal Yoga with an 85 Hour Prenatal Yoga Alliance Certification. She has been leading prenatal teacher trainings since 2016. Kim is also a practicing Doula, Birth Coach, and mother of 4. Workshop hours can be used towards CEU for yoga alliance. .
