Intro to the Yoga Sutras
This 2-hour workshop will offer yoga technique focusing on the Shoulders, including strengthening exercises, breathe work and restoratives to help you reduce pain, prevent injuries and improve whatever form of movement you most enjoy. If you have a tight neck and upper back, shoulder weakness or injury, or, simply want to gain strength and mobility in your upper body, this workshop is for you!
We’ll explore the basic anatomy and biomechanics of the neck, upper back, and shoulders. Learning the strengths and weaknesses within your own body allows you to tailor your yoga practice, specifically, to improve your yoga postures, and, to regain optimal and efficient movement.

Divine “Sleep” Yoga Nidra
Yoga nidra is scientifically proven to lower stress including many other health benefits - such as improving your sleep and feeling well rested and increasing dopamine release by 65%. In this workshop participants will start with a guided slow flow movement practice and then be guided into the restful meditation. Shari Florio received her certification in Divine Sleep® Yoga Nidra from Jennifer Reiss in 2019.

Restorative Yoga Workshop:
In this 2-hour workshop you will learn how restorative yoga differs from a more yang, asana-based practice. You will learn several restorative yoga poses as well as how to adjust props to accommodate different body types. Students will be given hand-outs with suggestions for queuing various poses, breath and relaxation/ meditation techniques. Workshop hours can be used towards CEU for yoga alliance.

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga as exercise, incorporating principles of traditional Chinese medicine, with asanas that are held for longer periods of time than in other styles. In our Yin Yoga workshop, you will learn the theory and practice of Yin Yoga while gaining a basic understanding of the Chinese meridian system and its relationship to the practice. Learn the many benefits of Yin including improved range of motion, flexibility, increased mobility of the joints, and stress relief you will find Yin yoga is beneficial to all levels and body types. Workshop hours can be used towards CEU for yoga alliance.

Explore your spine’s natural range of motion with our twisting pose workshop
Twisting is an integral part of the yoga practice. Whether you are doing a sitting, standing, or inverting pose, there is bound to be twisting involved. Learn the fundamental techniques of twisting poses and leave the workshop with a stronger knowledge of a pose that is essential to your yoga journey ahead. We will explore the many benefits of twisting poses including:
Relief back pain by stretching and strengthening your back muscles
Maintain normal spine rotation by keeping your spinal muscles go through a range of motion
Increase digestive organs’ functionality by increasing blood flow
Workshop is Open to all levels.
